Why Goopuh exists
Useful information, organized into tools people can act on
Goopuh is an independent project founded by Tyler, a former professional baseball player and first-time software founder. It brings research, practical templates, and an in-development operating system together for owner-operators and small service businesses.
A note from the founder
I am building in public—and I am honest about where I come from
My name is Tyler. I played baseball for more than 20 years, including five years professionally, and worked many different jobs outside the game. I am not a tradesperson, a licensed contractor, or a career software engineer. I am a person who wants to build a useful company and earn trust by doing the work openly.
I have always found the trades interesting. Goopuh began with a simple idea: a great deal of useful business information already exists, but it is often scattered, hard to compare, or disconnected from the form or workflow someone needs next. I use research and AI-assisted tools to organize that information efficiently, then turn it into focused guides, editable resources, and software concepts.
That process is not a substitute for field experience. Goopuh does not pretend otherwise. When a subject depends on code, licensing, safety, tax, legal, manufacturer, or local requirements, readers should confirm it with a qualified professional and the applicable authority.
What we are building
A connected path from answer to action
Goopuh focuses on the business systems around service work: pricing, estimating, documentation, customer communication, job costing, and learning from results.
Practical guides
Answer-first articles organize a specific decision, explain the method, and label examples and limitations.
Free editable resources
Worksheets, forms, checklists, and calculators remain free, with optional email updates.
Trade Profit OS
An operating system in active development is intended to connect estimating, expected profit, job records, and actual results.
How trust is earned
Transparent process. Useful output. Corrections welcomed.
- No invented credentials. We do not present Tyler as a contractor, technician, accountant, attorney, or code expert.
- AI assistance is disclosed. AI helps organize research and drafts; it is a tool, not the source of professional experience.
- Examples stay examples. Calculations are educational starting points and should be replaced with a business’s real inputs.
- Readers can challenge the work. Specific corrections, missing context, and better primary sources are welcome.
