Define the estimating problem first

Write the failures the new system must correct. Inspect proposal and approval behavior

The customer proposal should make scope, options, exclusions, price, tax, payment expectations, expiration, and approval clear. Test branding, mobile viewing, PDF output, printing, email delivery, customer signature, deposits, and accessibility.

Revise an estimate after sending it. Confirm that the original and revised versions remain identifiable and that the approved version becomes the job record. Test partial option approval and a customer request that changes price.

Demand a clean handoff into the job
